Bluefield, WV “Nature’s Air-Conditioned City”
Located in the foothills of Southern West Virginia, Bluefield is named Nature’sAir-Conditionedd City. At an elevation of 3500 ft, Bluefield receives mountain air that normally inhibits temperatures reaching above 90 degrees during the summer. When this occurs, the city serves free lemonade, a fifty-year-old tradition still alive today.
Local Driving Directions from I-77
Traveling North or South on I-77 take Exit 1 before or after East River Mountain Tunnel. At the end of ramp take a right onto US 52. Drive 2 miles towards Bluefield and merge left onto US 460 West. Drive 3 miles and look for the Washington Street exit. Take a right onto Washington Street. Come to the red light and take a right onto Cumberland Road. Take an immediate left onto Jefferson Street. Pass a white picket fence. Drive down the hill and when it becomes flat, the house will be on the right at 2109 Jefferson Street. A driveway is located beside the home which will take you to our side parking lot.*CAUTION: In case of snow and bad weather conditions we recommend that after you turn right onto Cumberland Road, drive to the next red light and turn left onto Bland Road. Follow this road to the next red light at Little Caesars. Turn left on to College Avenue. Look for Jefferson Street on the left at the corner of College Avenue Baptist Church. Go up the first hill and when it becomes flat the house will be up ahead on the left.
